Aston Martin brought 10 partners to its Silverstone factory during the British Grand Prix weekend to show how the team uses AI and machine learning. Newey said the systems work with the team's wind tunnel, CFD and track data rather than internet-based searches.
The team has invested heavily in a technology campus with a simulator and wind tunnel that became operational in 2024 and 2025. Aston Martin simulates 10,000 to 100,000 race scenarios before a weekend and captures about 50 billion sensor data points per car.
