Francois Provost says Renault wants a better-aligned Alpine F1 investor.

Renault CEO Francois Provost said the partnership with Alpine minority shareholder Otro Capital was not successful. Otro wants to sell its 24% stake, but Renault has a veto over any ownership change until September.

Provost said Renault will keep control of Alpine and does not intend to sell shares. He said any new minority shareholder must share Renault's goals and add value.
