Laurent Mekies moved from Racing Bulls to Red Bull after Christian Horner's exit, ending more than 20 years with Horner in charge. Mekies said the opening days were difficult because staff had to absorb a major leadership change with little certainty.

Red Bull sits fourth in the Teams' Championship, the same position as a year earlier. The team has 128 points from nine Grands Prix in 2026 and is 205 points behind leader Mercedes, with no Grand Prix win so far this season.
