Ayao Komatsu says Haas is Formula 1's only team operating below the budget cap.

Komatsu has made securing enough funding to operate at the cap one of his main priorities. He said Haas personnel are capable but lack the resources needed to demonstrate their full potential.

Ollie Bearman said rivals have overtaken Haas through faster development during the 2026 rules cycle. Komatsu disputed the suggestion that the team's upgrades had failed, but agreed Haas was being outdeveloped.
