Paul Aron will add Alpine's 2026 car to his extensive Formula 1 testing record in Hungary.

The Alpine reserve driver has completed around 10,000 kilometres of Formula 1 testing across machinery from Alpine, Sauber and Audi. His Hungary FP1 appearance will follow two 2026 practice outings for Audi.

Aron said his testing has prepared him for Formula 1 but he wants a full-time race seat. He views practice sessions as opportunities to demonstrate his ability while waiting for a Grand Prix drive.
