Sepang emerges as a possible replacement race on Formula 1's 2026 calendar.

Formula 1 is considering the Malaysian circuit for an October 4 race if the postponed Bahrain Grand Prix cannot proceed because of the Middle East conflict. A decision on Bahrain is expected before the summer shutdown.

Sepang hosted Formula 1 from 1999 to 2017. Its location near Singapore and an international airport could simplify the rapid freight turnaround required between races in Baku and Singapore.
