Antonelli received a three-place grid drop after stewards ruled he had not slowed enough for a yellow flag, despite lifting 16 metres earlier and reducing his speed by 14kph.
Simone Resta said the comparison used a slower-than-ideal mini-sector. Antonelli's time increased by only 0.03 seconds, leaving his response below the required threshold.
