David Coulthard says the FIA ignored warnings about Formula 1's 2026 regulations.

Coulthard said drivers and engineers had raised concerns before the rules arrived. Energy shortages then forced cars to slow before some fast corners at the season opener in Melbourne.

Formula 1 revised the regulations four races into the season and introduced changes after Miami. Further adjustments will increase the combustion engine's contribution over the next two years.
