Pierre Gasly says energy management has changed how Formula 1 drivers approach corners.

Gasly said drivers can no longer simply attack every corner at full pace because efficient battery use may require them to leave a margin or alter how they apply the power.

The Alpine racer believes the regulations have reduced the combustion engine's contribution too far, although he said the cars still generate enough downforce to reach about 5G through Silverstone's fastest corners.
