A fire burned through Bottas's brake lines during his Hungarian Grand Prix retirement, leaving him without braking as he entered the pit lane on lap 15.
Cadillac introduced larger front brake-duct inlets and outlets in Hungary after several brake fires, but Bottas said the car still needed more cooling in the extreme heat.
