Max Verstappen has recovered after racing through illness at the Dutch Grand Prix.

Verstappen said he became unwell from qualifying at Zandvoort and needed several days after the race to recover. He retired on the opening lap after losing control on a drying track.

The Red Bull driver said the impact caused no physical problem because he struck a safety barrier. His fitness for the Italian Grand Prix was not in doubt.
