Ukraine's youth and sport minister said the reasons for imposing the restrictions in February 2022 remain and argued that easing them weakens international pressure on Russia.
The FIA World Motor Sport Council lifted the restrictions on August 3 after a similar move by the International Olympic Association. Some other international sports governing bodies continue to exclude Russian competitors.
