Mohammed Ben Sulayem says the FIA could open an application process for a 12th Formula 1 team. He has held talks with Chinese manufacturers BYD and Geely about entering the championship.

BYD wants to establish a new team rather than buy an existing entry. Ben Sulayem said any incoming manufacturer would have to accept the championship's terms, with regulatory stability remaining a priority.
