Isack Hadjar, Franco Colapinto and Arvid Lindblad will take grid penalties for this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia after their teams changed power unit components. Red Bull fitted Hadjar's seventh internal combustion engine of the season, moving him beyond the four allowed and triggering a five-place grid penalty.

Alpine gave Colapinto a fifth ICE, adding a 10-place grid drop to the five-place penalty he already carries from his collision with Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris in Azerbaijan. His total penalty reaches 15 places on the grid.

Racing Bulls replaced multiple components on Lindblad's car including his fifth ICE, turbocharger and exhaust. The 30-place penalty from exceeding limits on multiple elements means he will start from the back of the grid regardless.

Cadillac fitted new power unit parts to Valtteri Bottas's car but remains within the maximum allocation, avoiding penalties for the Finnish driver.
