Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali confirmed the season will conclude with the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix as planned, following months of uncertainty due to ongoing Middle East conflict. The Qatar Grand Prix is scheduled for November 27-29 and Abu Dhabi for December 4-6, with both events receiving necessary safety assurances from local authorities.

Two months ago, Domenicali had stated Imola was ready to host the season finale if needed, but current government travel advice indicates Qatar and Abu Dhabi remain safe destinations. The 11 Formula 1 teams were given a mid-October deadline to make final decisions about the season-ending races.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff expressed confidence in the decision, noting that commercial flights operate normally, insurance coverage remains valid, and local promoters maintain enthusiasm for hosting the events. The confirmation provides certainty for teams and fans after the Bahrain Grand Prix was successfully relocated to Malaysia's Sepang circuit.
