Silverstone expects about 565,000 counted attendances across the British Grand Prix weekend. The previous Formula 1 record is believed to be about 520,000 at the 1995 Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide.

Sunday ticket sales have reached a record 175,000, with weekend attendance up by about 70,000 from last year. Stuart Pringle said the Sprint race helped Friday demand, and 565 double-decker buses will move 160,000 people across the weekend.
