Ayrton Senna's 1992 race-winning helmet sells for £500,000 at Silverstone auction.

A Shoei helmet worn by Ayrton Senna at the 1992 British, German and Hungarian Grands Prix sold for £500,000 at a Silverstone auction, more than four times its pre-sale estimate.

Senna used the helmet during his Hungarian Grand Prix win. It showed race-use marks including stone chips and came with a certificate of authenticity from McLaren.
