Stella Li says BYD wants an F1 technology role, not simple branding.

BYD vice-president Stella Li said the Chinese EV manufacturer is looking at ways its technology could help Formula 1, the FIA or teams. She said the company is also trying to build its brand through the sport.

Li met Stefano Domenicali and Mohammed Ben Sulayem at the Monaco Grand Prix while rumours linked BYD with a possible F1 team entry. The company is keeping an open mind about involvement if future rules fit its interests.
