Cadillac confirmed Herta will drive the MAC-26 in Budapest for his second Formula 1 practice appearance. He previously replaced Sergio Perez in FP1 at Barcelona and finished the session nearly two seconds behind Bottas.

Herta, a nine-time IndyCar race winner and Cadillac development driver, is competing in Formula 2 this season. His best finish is fifth in Barcelona, and Cadillac remains without a Formula 1 point.
