Marcin Budkowski will examine how Cadillac uses its Ferrari power unit.

Budkowski wants to determine whether Cadillac is fully exploiting the engine's energy-management capabilities. The team uses the same Ferrari hardware under the regulations but may not receive every detail needed to extract maximum performance.

Cadillac remains without a point after 11 rounds. Budkowski replaced Graeme Lowdon during the summer break and will oversee the team's longer-term move toward a General Motors works power unit.
