Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on Saturday to avoid clash with national Remembrance Day.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on Saturday afternoon instead of Formula 1's traditional Sunday slot to avoid conflicting with the country's national Remembrance Day on September 27. The race will start at 12:00 BST, with qualifying moved to Friday at 13:00 BST.

The entire weekend schedule has been shifted forward by one day, with three practice sessions scheduled across Thursday and Friday. Azerbaijan's Remembrance Day was established by Presidential decree in December 2020 to honor military soldiers who died in the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. The Baku City Circuit will host the race in Azerbaijan's capital.
