Mika Hakkinen drove Ayrton Senna's iconic McLaren MP4/6 at the Allwyn x McLaren Racing Live in Athens event outside the Olympic Athletic Center. The two-time champion completed demonstration runs on a bespoke track layout while fans had the opportunity to see the 2025 constructors' championship-winning MCL39.
The MP4/6 was the first McLaren powered by a Honda V12 engine, producing 725 horsepower at 13,500 rpm from its 3.5-liter unit. Senna and Gerhard Berger drove the car to McLaren's constructors' title in 1991, while Senna claimed his third drivers' championship in the machinery.
Hakkinen described the car as amazing with 700 horsepower and weighing about 500 kilograms. The event also featured other former Formula 1 drivers alongside modern and heritage show cars, plus fan zone experiences as part of McLaren's effort to connect with their passionate Greek fan community.
