Nike is reportedly exploring a return to Formula 1 as the official teamwear supplier for Formula One Management starting from next year. The sportswear giant has not had a major presence in the championship since Michael Schumacher's Ferrari deal ended in 2002, when the German driver switched from Nike to FILA.

The potential comeback gained momentum after Nike added Alexandre Arnault to its board in September. Arnault serves as deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy under LVMH, which has a ten-year partnership with Formula 1 beginning in 2025. This connection has sparked speculation about Nike leveraging LVMH's relationship to re-enter the paddock.

Nike executives were spotted at the Miami Grand Prix this year, and the brand has been linked to Cadillac's Formula 1 entry. Cadillac drivers have been seen wearing Nike shoes, while team CEO Dan Towriss and his wife received custom Nike Dunk Low trainers from the company.

During Schumacher's partnership, Nike created the Air Zoom Schu collection featuring carbon fiber medallions and his signature. The racing shoes adhered to FIA standards and are now worth deep five figures on the collector market. Any announcement could come around the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend.
