Max Verstappen heads into his tenth attempt to win at Singapore, the only current Formula 1 venue where he has never claimed victory besides the new Madring circuit. The four-time champion has reached the podium four times at Marina Bay but victory remains missing from his record, creating what he acknowledges as unfinished business.

Red Bull has traditionally struggled with low-speed corners and kerb riding that characterize Singapore's street circuit layout. Verstappen explained that while this year's car is more competitive in slow corners, the team still faces difficulties with bumps and kerbs that define the Marina Bay challenge.

The recent upgrade package introduced at Azerbaijan appears to have transformed Red Bull's capabilities, with teammate Isack Hadjar expressing confidence the team can overcome their Singapore curse. Hadjar pointed to victories at the contrasting Baku and Malaysia circuits as evidence the RB22 can perform across different track characteristics.

Despite the improvements, Verstappen acknowledged some fundamental limitations remain that cannot be resolved with the current chassis. However, the upgrade's success at diverse venues gives both Red Bull drivers optimism about finally breaking through at Singapore after years of disappointment.
